Another snarky blogger with a need for attention. I live in Los Angeles and the jokes just write themselves. I’m in my 30′s and I’m much more cynical than I was in my 20′s. Hopefully by the time I’m 40, I’ll be just right.
My two obsessions this year have been tennis and politics so this blog will concentrate mainly on those subjects. I have been known to provide an opinion about a movie or book as well.

I’ve often been asked what does the name of my blog, “The Red Boat” means? Well back in the 1600′s China was invaded by the Manchurians. The native Hans created secret societies in order to overthrow the Manchurian rule. The way they communicated and recruited members was to infiltrate Chinese Opera companies which traveled from town in town in red boats. So to me, the Red Boat is a symbol of the quest for freedom. Freedom from tyranny, violence, and oppression. Freedom to write one’s thoughts without fear of physical or mental harm. Freedom to think what I want to think. Freedom to be who I want to be.
